Halifax, NS (May 26, 2025) – On May 26th the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia (TIANS) hosted over 140 members from across Nova Scotia for their 48th Annual General Meeting at Fox Harb’r Resort.

Tourism in Nova Scotia generated $3.5 Billion in revenue in 2024, creating over 55,000 jobs across every NS community and is Nova Scotia’s #1 Service Export. “Tourism is incredibly important to the economic, social, cultural and environmental health of the province,” says Kevin Toth, TIANS Chair. “As we unveil a new Industry and Government Strategy, we are confident that tourism’s contribution will be even greater in the years to come,” says Toth. “We are charting a new course and that will require all of us – business operators, government leaders, policy makers – to embrace change and do things differently to advance a new economic framework for tourism”.
