The Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia is committed to respecting the personal privacy of individuals.
While visiting our website, TIANS does not automatically gather any personal information from you, such as your name, phone number, e-mail or street address. This information is obtained only if you supply it voluntarily, usually through contacting us via e-mail or registering in a portion of the site.

a) When you become a member of TIANS, and sign on to any of our membership benefit programs, we require personal information from you. This information is used to communicate effectively, facilitate your participation in savings programs with third parties, and to efficiently administer your membership.
b) Collected data is sometimes used to prepare reports and statistics for the purpose of industry advocacy, to manage our business, and to monitor the changing needs of our members.
c) When we provide professional development opportunities, we may require the collection of more or different personal information or the use of the information in a new way. In such instances, we will always obtain your further consent for collection, use, or disclosure.
