An evening of pure indulgence, Decadence pairs artisanal cheeses and succulent chocolates with wines, a beer and a cocktail from around the world. Cheese kicks off the night as raw cheeses are paired with wine, along with that cheese in a finished dish. The second half of the evening follows suit as raw chocolate and finished chocolate dishses are again paired with wine, showing the complex pairing abilities a single wine can achieve. Students from the Nova Scotia Community College in the Pastry Arts & Culinary Arts Programs master these dishes under the direction of their Chef Instructors and are on hand to serve and explain the dishes as you indulge the night away. The Celebrate Whiskey Festival provides attendees with an opportunity to try a variety of whiskies from around the world. The 2016 event, held on March 5th, had over 700 in attendance, the largest Celebrate Whiskey event to date.

The one-day event featured 160 whiskies at the two Tasting sessions and had an additional 30 available for purchase. Of those 190 whiskies, 125 were exclusive to the event. The 2016 event also included a lunch Pairing with Richard Paterson, also known as The Nose, where attendees were able to learn nosing techniques and try five different whiskies.
