The Voice of Tourism

Atlantic Visitor Satisfaction Program

This program allows individuals to rate their experience at accommodations throughout Atlantic Canada; and operators to learn more about their individual strengths and weaknesses, what was important to the guest in choosing the particular accommodation, and what influenced their decision-making.

Honest feedback directly from your guests:

The feedback given by your guests will be confidential; no one besides yourself will be able to access it. Yet, you will be able to compare your results to similar businesses anonymously across the Maritimes.

This is an opportunity for small and medium sized businesses in Nova Scotia to participate in a direct guest satisfaction program that is mostly available to large scale chain properties; and for hundreds of dollars less than what these programs usually cost.

Why should an accommodation operator join AVSP?

  • Gives tourism operators the opportunity to react to negative experiences before they impact sales
  • Collect site specific real-time feedback from your guests
  • Measure the guest perception of your brands value
  • Enhance guest satisfaction to drive loyalty and increase sales
  • Utilizing guest feedback can be key in helping to build marketing plans for your business
  • AVS can be used to build a database for your property

What do I have to do to participate in AVSP?

  • Sign up by submitting this form to TIANS
  • Receive materials by mail for distribution to your guests
  • Hand out score cards to your guests that will direct them to the website survey

How can I view the feedback?

  • Log in to your secure area of the AVSP website to look at your guests’ feedback. The website is updated daily www.atlantic.empathica.com
  • Feedback can be filtered however you choose; snapshot, comments, demographic, age, etc.
  • You can email the information to yourself and create data reports

What do the guests do to participate?

  • Visit the AVSP website at www.visiteatlanticvisit.com and enter the certificate number found on the score card given by you the operator
  • Filling out the guest satisfaction survey will enter the guests to win one of two daily prizes of $1000 or an iPod!

There are 100 spots available to operators from Nova Scotia for the period ending March 31, 2011.

Don’t miss your opportunity to gather valuable feedback and scoring information from your guests.
